The History of Soligorsk, Belarus



Soligorsk is a city located in the Minsk Region of Belarus. It is situated on the banks of the Svislach River, and is the administrative center of the Soligorsk District. The city has a rich history, having been inhabited since prehistoric times and having undergone several name changes over the centuries.

The earliest known settlement in the area was a fortified settlement known as Soligorsk, which was established in the early 12th century.
